More Ancient Poetry

“Wilt”
What is it more?
We loose, we lost
We die to live
We hate to love
When will we learn?
When will we truly
Be honest
We learn to forget,
We hide ourselves
We hide our truths
The pain, the past
We wilt like flowers

“Remember?”
Will you remember me?
Even if I’m gone?
Remember the times we had?
Laughing through fields of poppies
Staring at the stars
Pretending we’re really okay
Acting like we own the world
When all falls, will you remember?
I won’t forget, I only wish that you won’t either

“The Cloud and Snow”
I was quiet
All round me slept the others
Their chests rising and falling
The time would be soon now
Very soon
Our safe little haven would drop us down
Into the cold, cruel world

The time arrived,
Waking my brothers and sisters I cried
“It’s time! It’s time!”
The cloud rumbled in anticipation
And so did we
Some danced, some stood still
Our little hearts beat fast
Like the rhythm of a city street

Finally, oh finally
The moment had come
We all began to float and were slowly released.
We passed my airplanes and cars,
Also, we came upon sad people
Running from the gale
That would send a gossamer blanket
Across the land

We snaked down to the ground
Landing sweetly on the dead grass
With our heads lifted
We all smiled
This was it, our final time
We bid each other a fond farewell,
Happy Holidays, and looked forward to seeing each other once more
With that, we all laid down and died.

So is the way of snow. We live, we freeze, we sleep, we fall, we die.
And the next day, it all starts over again.

Old Poetry

“Cloud”
Her tears fall down on us,
Sometimes like liquid
Other times like specks
Sometimes she hides
Other times she fills the sky
She is cloud, she is wispy
(Subpar? I think so.)

“Twilight’s gain”
The ethereal light
shines down from above
and then fades away, like a dove
it must come from Heaven’s might
We try and try
But by and by
We cannot explain
The special, light in twilight’s gain
(used to know what this one meant. But not anymore. haha.)

“Forgotten”
The rain fell
like forgotten crystals
in the melancholy streetlights
cold and alone, the two figures came
Whispering their inadequacies
In each others ear
When finally they parted
With a slow passionate kiss
The lovers both shed a tear
And departed from the scene.
Forgotten and alone
They still roam the streets
Looking for lost pity
And stolen love
Like saddened ghosts they roam
And will roam, forevermore.
(This one is my absolute favorite. Ever.)
